Snow Planet

Today was the last day we stayed in Auckland. We went to Snow Planet. It was a fantastic experience for us because we have never tried skiing before. We felt excited. At first, we all needed to wear a helmet,  clothing for skiing and shoes for walking on the snow but they were too heavy for me and we felt hard to walk. Then, we took the skiing equipment and went into the "Snow Planet".

There were two coaches who taught us some basic skills. But we felt hard to walk with the skiing blades. We couldn't  walk up the ramp. I thought the coach was angry with me because I didn't listen to him. Then we went to the highest point and tried to slide down by ourselves. I failed in the first time. I stumbled in the second and third time. I wanted to give up because it was too embarrassing.  But I decided to try one more time and this time I succeeded. Then, we had lots of fun and we enjoyed skiing very much!

We love New Zealand because it makes us feel relaxed and forget about my pressure. We think we will not come back here in a short period of time. Therefore, we will keep the memories and remember our host family in our heart because they are friendly and nice.

Our last two days in New Zealand

Two days left in New Zealand and we will go back to Hong Kong. Our feeling is just like the weather this morning, raining heavily.

We woke up at half past six in the morning because our host mum said that she would take us to the park to see the peacocks and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings there if it’s sunny day. However, it was raining in the morning and the park visit was cancelled. So, we just stayed at home and slept until nine.

In the afternoon, our host father took us to the plaza and bought some souvenirs! We bought chips, lollipop, orange flavored water, lip cares, etc… Our host parents were laughing at us and joked that it looked like there’s a food shortage in Hong Kong. When we went back home, we gave a present to our host to thank them for taking care of us and cooking for us. We had a very enjoyable and grateful afternoon.

At night, we had curry chicken wings and rice for dinner. We both think that the dinner was extremely awesome! We hope that our mums in Hong Kong also know how to cook it! After dinner, we had some fruits and yogurt as dessert! They were so delicious!

We'll miss New Zealand very much because it has unique and spectacular landscape which we can’t find in Hong Kong! Besides, the learning environment is extremely relaxed, unlike Hong Kong! However we still prefer living in Hong Kong as the transport and shopping are so much convenient in Hong Kong. Anyway, we all think that New Zealand is a good place for visit, we will definitely come back again in the future!

Honey Centre & Horse Riding

I was looking forward to today’s horse riding activity and I had a fantastic day.

At first, we were divided into two groups. I was in the second group and I felt so bored to wait for the first group to come back from their horse riding. But I believed that something exciting was waiting for us ahead!

Before we started riding, we wore the helmet and put on our boots. Then, we got on the horse and I tried to sit properly to prove that I have learnt horse riding before. One of the staffs also brought me to start trotting. Although trotting wasn’t comfortable, I liked it! Later, the staff allowed us to ride at a gallop. It was very fast and I felt excited!

Today was the happiest day in New Zealand. I hope I will have a nice day tomorrow and at the Snow Planet.

It was a lucky day! Tears fall from the sky just after we had finished all our activities. How thankful it was!

First, we went to the Honey Bee Centre before we went horse riding. I bet everyone had paid nearly NZ$100 on buying those honey products! How crazy we were and everyone was excited about it!

Never tried horse riding? I suggest you to get a chance to try it. Horse riding was really exciting and we all couldn’t wait to try once. The horses were lovely and the view was beautiful! Milo, my beautiful horse, is so adorable that I want to bring her back home. She was so nice and gentle.

New Zealand is a beautiful and greenery country. We all have excellent days to discover ‘her’!
